Is World Championships being bumped down to Red Button on BBC?

    BBC have secured rights for PGA Championships. This will clash with the World Championships which BBC are committed to showing. This article indicates the athletics will get bumped down to the likes of BBC4 and Red Button.

    They will probably down grade the early stages of events as they get no viewing figures for it really. The Big events at prime time will be on normal tv.

    The biggest sporting event in tv viewing figures this year was the cricket world cup with india v Pakistan, doubt that will get beaten. Champions league was 180m so that should get beaten.

    I'd really doubt they're going to not show the likes of Farah, Bolt etc in a London World Championships.

    The golf will be around 8-12pm our time. The athletics evening sessions will be 7-10pm. There is a clash there.

    The golf could start on the red button on a sat and Sun as the main action will be after 10pm.

    Golf is the one being shown via red button and doesn't take over main coverage on the BBC till 10.30pm when the athletics is concluded.
