I'm going on holiday to Austria soon. Can anyone give me some recommendations on trains in Austria and any good pictures?

    recommendations for what?

virtually all rail services are ran by the Öbb , who have swish premium intercity service with the stupidly named railjet running from Zurich and Munich to Vienna and onto Budapest, then normal intercity/ euro city trains, and local trains.
The odd ICE train runs from Vienna via Passau onto Frankfurt and Cologne

The Railjet is a really nice train though, been on them in both Czech Republic and Hungary.

The České dráhy trains that run from Prague have slightly different interior set-up to the ones operated Öbb but it's not much different, just some slight config changes with regards to space used by each class and different colour scheme.

They're good examples of modern loco hauled trains if you asked me.

Thanks for the great ideas lads. What's the situation regarding taking bikes on the trains there and are any issues regarding helmets etc?

7 Spaces per coach on CD Railjet, 5 on OBB

If you end up in Budapest, the central train station is one of the amazing buildings Iv seen in Europe....
Plus if you buy a train ticket at the station.....you must validate....theres no date or time on them unlike ours here so whenever you hop on validate it. The inspectors do check quiet regulary and dont pity you if you dont know all this, trust me I know!!
