Asked to attend Group Information Session

As the title says, I have been asked to attend a group information session as I am on job seekers benefit.

I have 3 children under the age of 5 and since I was let go last month, I have taken them out of creche as cant afford it.

Does anyone know if I have to attend these sessions, or can I bring the kids (I'm guessing not) or do they run them in the evenings? I am going to ring my local office and find out.

My husband could mind them for the hour, but I really need him to save time off for when I have interviews as I am actively looking for work.

I dont have anyone else who could mind them.

    Thanks for reading :)

Been to a few of these in the last 2 years.

Never once have I seen children in the group sessions.

Only ever seen kids in the waiting area of the local dole office.

    Have 4 kids myself.

Know someone who after the company they work for went into signed up for Job Seekers Benefit as they have been working for the past decade. Not even a week after going into submit the forms they received an invite to one of these group sessions. I assume they'll have a jobpath invite within the week and spend time attending these sessions and being suggested for work stacking shelves rather than actual looking for a job.
