Hey, I've travelled before internationally, usually with the same airline, but this time it's two different ones, and the information has slipped my mind.

I'm flying DUB-LHR with BA, and then LHR-LAX with Virgin. When I go to check in at Dublin, which desk do I go to? The one for the flight to Heathrow or, the one for the flight to LAX?

Check in with the airline operating the FIRST flight

    In this case BA, T1

That said please do check its is not a BA flight operated by Aer Lingus, that would be T2

Yea, after thinking about it for more than five seconds, I realised the LAX flight wouldn't even be on the Dublin board anyway.

    Cheers.

Your bag will be tagged as LAX in Dublin and you won't see it again until you land in LAX.
