Electric shower woes : no water

    Long story short.

Was having a shower this morning and the water cut off midway . We have an electric shower and it powers on as normal but simply no water comes out.

I thought the water may have been off for the house but nope, all is working ok otherwise.

The electric sounds likes its working but just no water is getting to it .

Anything really obvious I could check before I get a plumber ?

I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to these things .

    Thanks in advance.

If there is even a dribble of water coming out then it's likely to be an airlock.
If there's not even a drip of water coming out then it is most likely the solenoid needs replacing

    Not even a dribble man.

Is replacing the solenoid a big job or something I could potentially do myself ?

It depends on the make and model of the shower. It's easy in some showers and in others you've to dismantle the whole shower to get at it

    Thanks for your help.

Obviously i'd need the part also ?

Don't suppose you'ed have a rough ballpark figure as to how much i could expect a plumber to charge ?
