Ryanair T&C's for missed flight?

I have query with regard to arriving at the airport gate 10 mins before Ryanair departure time and being denied boarding.

In terms and conditions 6.7 below it says turn up less than 20 mins before a flight and you have to "make and pay for a new reservation" which will be for example €240 to book on the next available flight to gatwick online so probably more st the airport desk as you need your boarding card printed also.

But in table of fees it says missed departure fee if you turn up at a ticket desk in the airport between 40 mins before and 1 hour after scheduled departure you can get on the next available flight for €100 .

Anyone any experience of what happens in real life in the above scenario. I fly alot with the Ryans and would like to be know where i stand if i just miss my flight.

6.7 You should be at the boarding gate at least thirty (30) minutes prior to scheduled departure. Boarding closes twenty (20) minutes prior to departure. If you arrive later than this at the boarding gate you will not be accepted for travel. For travel on a later flight, you will be required to make and pay for a new reservation.

I contacted Ryanair and they said as long as you arrive at the ticket desk within 1 hour after departure you pay €100 only.

I had a missed departure and was put on the next available for €100. Staff were really excellent in finding a seat for me. Flights were really jammed and there was very few available so I'd imagine if I was to pay the fare difference it would have been considerable, but I was just charged €100
