Lads was looking a getting a hedge cutter for the farm as I spend a lot of time trimming back under the fence each year and not in a position to do too much ditch spraying. Also as cork co co don't cut the hedges or verges on the roads anymore the place is dangerous for the family for walking or cycling nearby.

I spotted one of these major toppers lately and was wondering if anyone has used one? Granted I'd need to take down the fence to do the ditch but I do that a good bit anyway.
How are they of ditches with heavy bushels like furze and black thorn?
They seem OK for brambles and grass just wondering about anything that is thicker?

Can you still spray the ditches or is it illegal?

lad cutting the road verge in north Westmeath has similar on the front of tractor and hedge cutter on rear. leaves a clean finish.

no idea what the diameter of material they would cut.
