Anything I have read would suggest that Vitamin B12 is not a replacement for cobalt and that the lamb needs to go through the process of converting the cobalt to B12. The link would suggest otherwise , but then again they are trying to sell a product.

I tried getting it and it's impossible in Ireland even with vet prescription to import it. In the U.K. you can

Btw I've heard mixed results and some claim it doesn't last as long as it say

. That is interesting. I saw some results on Vit B12 injection and they were not good. What got you looking for it in the first place? Did you work in NZ or have you any contacts there that might share info or links to independent trials ?

Lots about it on uk forums and mixed opinion there too. Our land is very low on cobalt so was looking at various options

Starting to think drenching is still the best option after using bolus's here for last 3 years

    ...
seems there is no easy option... but a lot of money to be made on the backs of sheep farmers desperately looking for a better option

Been trying a mineral drench from iomalan, lambs doing better than past years when using mayo healthcare bolus and cobalt drench. Hard to know if due to new product or just better weather/grass.

Have to say I use the drench from iomlan too. Find it good. Lambs are going well.
