    Just wondering if you should deadhead alliums post flowering? I know that the seed heads look nice but the large variety bulbs are quite expensive and don't want to risk having to replace them.

    There's no need, or benefit, in dead heading them. Leave them and enjoy them.

    I gather mine up, hang upside down in shed to fully dry out, then spray with gold paint for Christmas decorations.
