Can you still buy imperial measurement screws in Ireland?

A few weeks ago I noticed my old reciprocating saw was missing a screw, so I got in touch with Craftsman, then Sears, who informed me I needed a #10-24(tpi) screw, 1/2 inch long. Now given that this saw is probably older than I am and still runs goodo, where would I go in Dublin to get imperial measurement screws? Lenehans didn't have any, Goughs don't sell bolts, the bolt and nut shop in Ballymount had nothing I could use and the screw isn't made by craftsman anymore. I ordered some stuff off ebay from hong kong but this to me seems like the sort of thing I need to check in person.

Is there anywhere in Ireland I haven't thought of yet?

I was expecting that you would be looking for one of the imperial standards (BA, BSW, BSF, BSP or maybe even AF)

Do you know if what you need can be expressed in terms of any of the above?

What kind of head do you need this screw to have ?

I received a copy of your email looking for the size of screw #930836-801, which is no longer available through Sears PartsDirect.

Our database lists the screw as a #10-24 X 1/2 round head. The database also lists it as a standard screw that you should be able to buy in your local hardware store. I’m not sure how true that is though.

Hope this information helps and I hope you have a happy Fourth of July.

As for hassets, there's no guarantee they'll have the machine screw in stock. They're based in Limerick as well - bit far to go for 1 screw. I'd like to think I can get this somewhere in Co. Dublin. I'll send them a message though. I'd have to guess I do indeed need an AF screw. Most american bolts and screw use this standard

Conversion chart from the same site, looks like an M5 might do?
