Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Graduate Software Developer Salary

    Hello!

I have just completed a level 7 in Software Systems Dev. I am stuck between starting to try and get a job (heavily in development) and doing my 4th year.

If I was to go for a job the question is, what salary should I be looking at starting with? I don't want to take a job and be under paid. I understand that I am still learning and don't expect 35k+ as a graduate just to make that clear.

Throughout my degree I was pretty good at all the programming modules and even completed an International Internship in a programming environment. So my question is basically, what did anyone else start on? What salary would be good to start on, and what would be bad. I amen't really stuck for money at the minute because I have a full time job, in an unrelated field - just to keep me going.

    Thanks

Hey guy, I have a level 7 myself, most recruiters won't look at you with at lvl 7!? Sad I know. Unless, you have experience? I got a lucky break with an internship and had a good lot of interviews when it was finished. Anyhow, starting between 30-35 is normal in the big companies.

I would suggest get a lvl 8 and look for an internship. Myself, I managed to skip the level 8 and am working full time(Software dev) while doing masters part time.
