Moving to Cork from Northern Ireland, am I entitled to Jobseekers?

Hi all, I'm new to this board and unsure if this has been asked before.
I currently reside and work in Northern Ireland but I am moving to Cork in the coming weeks with my partner. I have been applying for jobs in Cork and have been lucky enough to secure two interviews for the coming week.
I am apprehensive about handing in my notice without having a job secured for me. However, if push comes to shove and I have no other choice am I entitled to claim Jobseekers in Ireland for the immediate future? I have been contributing to U.K. national insurance non-stop for 8 years now - I have read that these contributions can be transferred to Ireland under European arrangements but there is conflicting information available on that.
    Thank you for your responses

Yes but you would have to establish habitual residence. Could you? By the way it takes forever to get the information from the uk, but that's not necessary to start a claim. However the hrc will be your big issue.

Your cons in UK aren't valid here till you pay at least one con. It's a lengthy process getting your cons over so go in straight away with that and once you pay one con they are valid. Don't take no for an answer as most people in welfare will put you off telling you they aren't useful blah blah. This way when you get some work you can use the cons asap.

You should make a claim in Northern Ireland before you move once you have the correct contributions paid. This can be transferred for 3 mths to the Cork while you are looking for work.

Thank you very much for all the advice guys! Going to opt for the route of N.I jobseekers and the 3 month transfer and hope that I find something full time in that period. I really appreciate all the help and input.
