I thought The Tin Man was a very big price at 8/1 to follow up today

    Caravaggio.

Finniston Farm in the superlative at Newmarket looks a decent ew bet to me. 8s 1/4 odds with 365.

Favourite backers got a right fright with the O' Brien horse there. Moore seemed to have screwed up but did well in the end tbf.

Shocking ride from Moore. Had the horse to get him out of it though.

Good to see that Ballydoyle spoiling tactics didn't work.

Would be great to see this filly take on the colts sooner rather than later. She's special.

So Much for the ‘fastest we’ve ever had’ . What possesses O brien to come out with these type of comments.

Writing him off after one run. Good man

And he says these things to hype their stallion prospects, as he does nearly every year

Money. Up selling the stud career. "Listen". He's prone to hyperbole.

Watch him get a career ending injury next. ;)

The horse ran way below his Ascot form, it's as simple as that.

According to rpr ratings, he ran to 115 today VS 125 at Ascot. Hard to know why, it was very poor from him, maybe he needs a bit further or a faster pace. I've a feeling that he'd prefer a bit of cut in the ground

Caravaggio looked like, today anyway, a horse that wanted a mile!

Spirit Of Valor was impressive today in the Group 2 at The Curragh, boosting the form of Le Brivido in the Jersey. 3yo sprinters and milers look very smart this season, even if the 3yo middle distance colts are poor.

Going to get torn to pieces for saying this but Caravaggio had the look of a horse cantering to the start and during the race that was 'nobbled' by somebody.
There is more to his run than meets the eye. It was too bad to be true.

He was slowly out of the stalls yesterday as he reared up just before they opened. He almost did the same at Royal Ascot but got away with. In my mind he's a horse who lacks cruising speed. The fierce gallop in the Commonwealth Cup suited him but Adam Kirby didn't play into Ballydoyle's tactics yesterday. He's nothing like Mozart and Stravinsky who won the July Cup as 3yo's for AOB, as they were very classy travellers. Maybe the slightly extra distance of the Prix Maurice de Gheest might suit him but he's no world beater. Ridiculous to say he was nobbled.

How the hell did Elizabeth Browning win that Gp2 today?

    Don't think I've ever seen such a turnaround in a horse's form.

LOL didn't you say she needed shooting before haha I actually couldn't believe my eyes seeing her win today, absolutely useless thing.

Saying that, many of the hopeless things that APOB has that are very well bred just need a lot of time to mature and APOB doesn't get that much time with them before they are sold off. Smaller trainers can afford to be a lot more patient.

Mozart and Stravinsky both won a Nunthorpe. There's no way Caravaggio could emulate them.

He runs her all the time, 10 times as a 2yo and 6 times already this year. Every year he has some horses like her that he'll run the crap out of and ye're left wondering how they are supposed to improve when they are ran off their feet all the time. He was even worse with Bravery last year who was a decent prospect at the start of last year.

She's a full sister to the Gp1 winner Jan Vermeer who also won a Gp2 a few weeks ago after a long spell of missing out.

The O'Brien horses are on fire ( the summer ground really suits them) . She was in the race yesterday to try to get some black type by hopefully running on into a place after being held up for a late run, she got lucky the race was really fast and she ran on through beaten horses.

I wouldn't be backing her to repeat the dose :pac:

True. It's really brought to light when he runs them in the Breeders Cup. Almost always last out the stalls.

His stallion prospects are not looking good now. Doubt we'll see him again.

After having the World at his feet after Ascot, he's now running lifelessly like last year's flop Air Force Blue did.

It's hard to understand how he has deteriorated so quickly.

His stud career will be fine but the heir apparent to Galileo tag is lost, in which case they may give him a year at stud in Ireland and then ship him off to the states where his US breeding will be appreciated.
