How many times a month do you get paid?

Hi, it was on the 3rd of July, I asked the office and payroll and they said this is the protocol for all new starters but I don't understand how it works...

Are you sure they don't pay fortnightly ? It does strange that you weren't paid this week if it's weekly. Assuming you do get paid next week you should ask them for which week have they paid you for.

I thought the exact same thing, but it's two weeks for some reason I even mentioned the normal process for most jobs of working 1 week in hand but they said it's two weeks, this is an established company too so it's not a small business or that I am working for a self employed business person

As I said , ask next when you get paid which week are they paying you for, is it week one or week 2 . If it's week 2 they are paying you for ask them when do you get your pay for week 1 . If they are paying you for week 1 next week ask them to confirm that payroll in the company is paid 2 weeks behind rather than one. Revenue and PRSI, USC may well be affected by it
