Handbook shows fuse number 8 - Interior Rear-view Mirror 3 amp However there is no fuse in that slot. Should there be one or is there no power requirement in the mirror in this model?

not sure about that car but most, where the fuse is not needed for the car, there is no terminal on the inside of the fuse holder and if you look carefully you can see this- compare to one with a fuse in. if there is no terminal then its not wired in your version of the car.
