Hi I have a Mazda 3 2004 1.4. The engine light is on , when i attach the ODB11 it shows me an error of P0031, HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low.

I guess this sensor needs to be checked,
Can anyone tell me where I might find this sensors location, none of the usual sites are clear enough.

    Appreciate any support provided.

    Regards,

    Jim

the error is for the first O2 sensor - pre cat, just follow the exhaust from the exhaust manifold back and its the fist sensor going into the exhaust

There's no real way to check the O2 sensor. Clear the code and if it returns then replace the sensor. They generally don't give trouble and when the CEL comes on it's to indicate the sensor is faulty and needs replacing. They can't be repaired or refurbished.
