Renting out parking spaces

Was at a match in Turners cross in Cork last night and couldn't get parking for the life of me. A mate said that you can rent out available spaces in Dublin via a website.

Anybody know if this is dodgy or likely to work?

To be honest i'd have reservations about rocking up to someone's gaff and leaving the car there.

    Anybody used this before ?

I've seen this crowd advertising a good bit:

    https://parkpnp.com/ie/

A lot of the available options are more expensive than on-street parking

Cheers, that's the one alright .

Has anybody actually used it though ?

    Can't beat a first hand account .

Some people are serious chancers. There's a few around my area.....€2.40 per hour!!! Yeah....or you can just park on the street for free.

Never seen such chancers in my life...

Just out of curiosity, I checked parking for local area.
Its an Urban area close to the childrens hospital in Crumlin,
Theirs always plenty of parking spots available within 10 minutes walk of the hospital, hell even people use a spot just outside my house to park.

These chancers are charging 36 quid a week?
No doubt that the spot would probably be taken up by other people anyway :pac:
stay away from them anyway OP

Site seems like a big scam site, some people actually selling parking spots which belong to the public meaning anyone can park in that spot.

Checked a few others and 1 or 2 seem legit, cctv footage watching your car and its in a secure area.

From looking at it, i think its the users that set the price for the parking spot.

As in if you have a parking spot in your drive or whatever then you decide how much to charge for it.

I am guessing the benefit is that if you are renting it, then you know you are guaranteed the spot as opposed to possibly getting a street space.
