A non-DSLR camera that has mic & headphone inputs...?

Am I asking for too much?

Basically, I'd like a carry-round compact (or slightly larger, just not DSLR; I already own a 5D Mk IV) that has both mic and headphone inputs for maximum control over video capture.

    Does such a compact exist?

    Thanks.

The Sony RX10 series would fit the bill. Not exactly compact, but smaller than a DSLR with lens. Pricey enough if you go for the latest model though.

Yes, lovely camera. But, a bit chunky for my purposes.

I own a Sony RX100, which I love. It's tiny, and the pics are superb. I'd upgrade to the RX100 V if it had what I'm looking for.

Amazing no one has released a compact camera that does everything, video-wise.

The other solution would be to continue to shoot video on my RX100 and record sound to my iPhone 6s and sync later.

    Decisions! Decisions!

    Thanks.
