HPV vaccine now available

    The GMHS (and likely other STI clinics) are now giving the HPV vaccine to MSM under the age of 26. It is a bit sore when they inject it, but no pain afterwards.

    When I was getting it, they were making it clear they want you to do the whole set of three, as they are so expensive for the HSE.

    I am 2 shots into the course and got the first one just as I was turning 27 so if you express interest in getting it, they seem to be lenient on the 'under 26' policy. They do want you to not have had a history of anal warts too though I don't know if that is an exclusion criteria or not...

    I got the first injection. It costs the HSE €120 per injection i.e. €360 for the full vaccine
