Pet Insurance for Senior Dogs. Is there such a thing?

    It's a long shot but is there such thing a pet insurance for Irish doggies who are getting long in the tooth? I can only find insurance up to 8 years old.

    Don't think so
    You need to be with them from younger so as you don't get stung with the "pre-existing condition" bull

    I think Allianz let you keep the cover if they where insured earlier but I doubt many would let you insure old dogs only (or the cost would be outrageously high between risk factor and vet costs).

    A friend puts €5 into an account every week. Small enough amount that she doesnt miss it, but it accumulates over the year. She has a nice tidy sum in the account now for her rescued older dogs future vet/medical bills. She couldnt get insurance as he was a rescue and older... Hopefully he wont need it.
