Power shower recommendations

    Hi there,

About to start a new build and want to ensure I have a really really good shower - after renting for 10+ years and putting up with crap electric showers, I want something that is so powerful it hurts! ;)

Anyway, plans are to have a very large hot water tank so hot water supply won't be an issue, and it'll be a pressurised system.

I don't want a waterfall shower, I'd like a wall mounted one on a rail.

I have no clue where to start - can anyone please help me clarify what I'm actually looking for and suggest some reliable makes/models?

    Thanks a million!

Ready to go power showers are fine for retro fitting. These would be Triton As2000xt, mira vigour /event or Aqualisa aquastream.
You are in the lucky position of not retro fitting. For me the ultimate in showering is a dedicated pump. Mine is a Stuart Turner monsoon 3 Bar. It's so quiet I'd say it whispers. Then you can get as funky as you like inside the shower. I have a bar mixer with rain shower head and a shower hose.
There are some great looking counseled ones. Mira might be a good choice here. They have been famous for over 40 years from their cartridge showers and you can still get parts for their showers from 40 years ago. They are very expensive but they still stock them.

Hi! Thanks very much for that.

When you say a dedicated pump, do you mean dedicated as in a 'shower pump' or dedicated as in 'one pump per shower'?

So are you saying once you get the pump, you can pretty much choose whatever shower system you like, pretty much? I'll check out the ones you suggested there, cheers!
