Hi, We are trying to decide on what window boards to put with cream windows. We were thinking of oak but this can be a bit pricey and the builder said that there is always the possibility that they might warp.
The builder suggested mdf painted white but I'm nervous that it will make the windows look almost yellow! Has anyone got any pictures of cream windows with white window boards or any other ideas of what to use. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what the point of painting window boards white when you're windows are cream. Why not paint the boards the same colour as the window itself?

The builder might be right on the oak - I was up in Chadwicks looking for some oak saddleboard (about the same width and thickness as window board) and went through about 20 pieces before I found one that wasn't bowed.

Painting windows/cill/architrave the same colour gives a pretty unified / even look.

Whatever you do if going white, don't paint them domestic appliance /builders trade paint white. Get something decent like Farrow and Ball or Colourtrend.
