Big military jet explodes mid-air and ploughs into the ground.

Looks like it flipped upside down.

Certainly looks like it blew up mid air:rolleyes:

What brain donors write for that rag.

It was a KC-130 of VMGR-452 from Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, N.Y. on a flight out of Cherry Point N.C. to headed to Naval Air Facility El Centro in California. It was transporting personnel and equipment, the Reserve said in a statement. and was transferring both personnel and equipment.

RIP to all involved, and condolences to the families

Not to defend the Sun per se but most of that article content is the same as what has appeared in multiple media outlets. Later briefings to the media have said there were multiple debris locations, which has to mean some disintegration in the air.
