Emergency Aeromedical Services Family Day - 25 August

    Given the nature of the sport of horse racing, we all know that there's a high risk that jockeys will be injured at some point during their riding careers. Thankfully, most of them are relatively minor injuries and are pretty quick to heal. However, there are riders out there who have had to be air lifted to hospital due to the extent of their injuries. And it's quite possible that they were airlifted by the Irish Air Corps who, along with the National Ambulance Service, are part of the Emergency Aeromedical Services.

    The EAS has assisted almost 2,000 people, and this year they are hosting an #EASFamilyDay are arranging a day for those they have helped, and their families. It's on 25 August in Casement Aerodrome.

    You may know of someone who they've helped and who might be interested in attending the day.
