Hi there, my suitcase was delayed last week by just over 24 hours. It had my outfit for a wedding I was attending in it. As as result I had to buy a whole new ensemble including shoes. Can I claim this against my VHI Multi-trip or the airline (AL)?

You can claim reasonable costs for emergency clothes on your insurance, I don't think s full wedding outfit would come under that though

+1 for a delay of just over 24 hours with your luggage, most travel insurance would cover you for a modest sum of money to buy essentials like toiletries, change of underwear and the like i.e. a basic survival kit for the next day. I can't see anyone compensating you for a whole new 'ensemble' and a pair of shoes.

Would it be a sum of money that's worth the hassle of the claim?
