Hi, Does anyone know if the BMW prof. navigation / maps support speed limit info on the display whilst driving ?

Might just be something as simple as enabling it via coding or might only be compatible with certain newer versions of Pro Nav. I have the NBT Pro Nav and it doesn't display speed limit information. Never really bothered looking into myself to be honest.

Nope, which is maybe why BMW drivers speed a lot :)

CIC system can't display speed limits.
Nor can it do the speed camera notifications.
However it is possible (its difficult) to load 50 poi' s as speed cams, but they will only show an icon on the screen.. no audio alert... a bit pointless .

So... to answer your question. NO

If you need help in affordably updating your maps, pm me, and I can point you in the right direction.
I've updated my quite cheaply in the past., circa $/€/£10

Slightly off topic but is that price for a lifetime FSC code or once off?

The jury is out on whether they work, or are reliable.

But I've seen single updates for $10 , and lifetime for $30

If a lifetime update screws up your iDrive, it'll be very costly to fix, cos BMW won't touch it.

i've done the single update and its worked fine.. i have a lifetime update, that i paid $29 for, but i haven't used it yet.. one part of me is afraid to use it.. the other part hasn't been bothered with the trouble of getting the very new maps.

I've updated my Nav twice this year using a lifetime FSC code with no issues. It only asks for the lifetime FSC code once, subsequent updates don't ask for it. I paid $50 for the lifetime FSC code from a very reputable site though.

Bit of a contradiction... reputable and lifetime update :D not even bmw offer lifetime updates.

Nothing reputable about where we're getting out fsc' s from.
