I used isover vario between walls and windows in a new build, as instructed by our architect. Once plastered, there was in some places, too much tape still on the windows. I used a heat gun and scraper to get this off but there is still a residue on the wooden window frame. I've tried Wd40, doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas to remove this heavy residue?

Its not designed to come off easily..., you might edit post to say removal in heading

“I can’t pay my staff or mortgage with instagram likes”.

There is a tech 7 remover spray that might work but be careful with timber frames .
Would have been easier if the plasterer either covered it or told you to put it right before he plastered the reveals
Some tasty work with a stanley blade might do the trick aswell
