No rte radio on my Freesat TV!

I have a TV with built-in tuner in my motorhome, and can watch all the channels I want from the Astra satellite on Freesat
My problem is that I can't pick up any Irish radio stations. I scroll through to rte one for instance, the banner at the bottom of the screen says Rte1, then I get ' no signal' on the screen.
Any idea how I can rectify this? Someone told me that maybe Freesat are blocking Irish radio.
    All advice welcome.

For starters Freesat are not blocking Irish radio channels. RTÉ Radio moved to a new transponder recently so you will need to tune them in again. They can be found using the following parameters
    11836.00 H 27500 5/6

Thanks for that info.....but as a total non-tekkie, how do I manual tune the TV? When I first set it all up, I chose auto tune, and it did it all for me.......

Cello Traveller with built-in sat tuner. They're on eBay if you need to see specs btw.

It doesn't have a Freesat tuner, it has a FTA (free-to-air) satellite tuner, so the channels must be manually retuned if they move frequency - which they did recently.

The tuning parameters can be found here - http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php

    - 11817 V DVB-S QPSK 27500 2/3

One final question....(Hopefully....my limited grasp of technology must surely be showing by now!) Why didn't the TV automatically find the new rte radio locations when it was searching during initial setup?

When was the initial setup done, before or after the channel changed frequency?
I don't know that particular TV, are all radio and TV channels stored in the same list or separate radio and TV sections?

The original set-up was done a couple of months ago, but I did a full 'factory reset' on their advice about one month ago (which made no difference). All the channels are on the same list, once you have scrolled down through all the TV options, the radio choices appear. The UK radio stations are fine btw. To confuse matters more, there are three buttons at the top of the remote: Freesat, Radio and UK sat. The UK sat button is the one I use, the Freesat obviously doesn't get a signal, and the radio button just switches to Freesat. On my previous Sky set-up, I could access Irish radio by selecting channel 101( the first TV channel) then scrolling backwards into 'minus' if you get what I mean, that's when all the radio channels appeared. I tried that with the new TV and rte radio one eventually shows up, but again, no signal.

IIRC the frequencies changed towards the end of last month, have you done a full scan recently?
Regarding the Freesat button on the remote control, I don't understand that, what happens when you press it? What does the manual say about the Freesat button?

I might try another factory reset, just in case the last one was before the frequency changes. I'm not home at the moment, I can't recall what the manual said about Freesat....all I know is that the UK sat button is the only one that does anything! If you want to Google 'manual tune Cello Traveller TV' one of the results has an instruction manual PDF. .....(if you've nothing better to do lol)

A quick look at a picture of the remote shows a "Freeview" button or "UKsat" which might be the source of confusion. Freeview refers to the UK terrestrial system, equivalent to Saorview, using a normal aerial.

Thanks Gerry, but that's not the problem. I'm watching plenty of channels on the UK sat, it's the Irish radio stations I can't get. It seems they've recently changed frequency, so I have to learn how to do a manual retune on the relevant stations.

Yippee! Problem (accidentally) solved! I was about to give up today, having spent an hour trying resets and retunes, then I noticed the 'quickstart' button on the remote. Up until then, I'd been tuning using the start-up settings as per the manual. So I pressed the quickstart button, and straight away I noticed a different tuning 'screen' which took a good while to complete. Plus it showed a huge number of TV and radio channels being stored. Once it finished, I found I had loads of new channels plus the missing Irish radio stations!!!!!
I'd love to know what happened?
Am I a tekkie after all lol?
