Satellite won't show some free uk channels

Hi,

Have a satellite on the house to pick up the UK freebies stations, have all the ITV's, all the BBC's, Chsnnel 4 etc.
I lost film 4, film 4+1, channel 5usa
And sound on bbc 3.

Anybody know what could cause this? Satellite was set up by installer correctly, as they all worked before.

Any help would be great.

Maybe they moved frequency?

A Freesat branded box would automatically get them back for yoh, but if you have a generic free to air box you may have to do a scan for channels again to find them.

It did. It doesn't exist on satellite.

Bbc3 is on my satellite box with sound, but with out sound on my Samsung tv with built in satellite tuner.

Its not coming in over Satellite ..... maybe an internet stream?

Impossible. BBC Three hasn't been on air since 16th February 2016.

As for your other problems, unless it's an official Freesat box, any transponder changes will require a rescan to get the channels back. Having said that, Film4 last changed at the end of 2014, so it's unlikely to be that. Sometimes dishes get nudged slightly out of alignment by wind or other factors, and when it's marginal, not every transponder gets affected equally./ Some will continue to be received with sufficient signal strength, others won't, it can be a bit of a lottery.

Hi.
Depending on the tuner your using for some reason these channels may have become listed as encrypted. I have a walker combo box and that's what happened me as I lost film 4 and the channel 5 channels. Had to rescan manually and select scan encrypted channels. There was a thread on this forum a while back on this but couldn't find it just now.

Is the sound of children's TV programming? As Three once time-shared with CBBC, it could be that the "tuned in" Three had the same APID but not the same VPID as CBBC uses now, hence audio but no picture.
