32 year old male here after taking the leap and buying my first road bike at the weekend after much persuasion from my Father in Law. Really excited to getting started on the bike and getting up to speed with things.

Living in the Douglas/Rochestown area of Cork, would anyone know of any suitable cycling clubs who are open to beginners taging along. There is a 6 week beginner course I am going to do first to get the basics of cycling on the road/fixing punctures etc.

    Thanks all.

DeRonde can Cork (give them a shout on Facebook) have a lot of members from Douglas area, & frequently meet up at Costa Douglas SC for spins. They've a social group on Sunday's and some evenings during summer.

Cork County and Lee Roadies are other local clubs in that area with a social side.
    Also Ballincollig, Carrigdhoun (Carrigaline)
