I'm currently studying a sport science degree (level 7) I intend on doing a level 8 degree but I want to do my level 8 in a different course preferably a teaching degree does anyone know is it possible to do this? So basically if I have a level 7 degree in sport science can I do a level 8 degree in teaching? I'd have went straight into teaching except I didn't have the required cao points at the time. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Assuming you are referring to a 1 year, Level 8 add-on, think about it - can you jump into year 4 of a programme (as the Level 8 add-on usually is), without having studied the previous 3 years in that discipline?

Unless your institution has clearly defined path from Level 7, Sports Science to Level 8 teaching, I would doubt it is possible.

I was thinking it wouldn't be possible. Maybe if I did three years of sports science get my Level 7 degree and apply for the teaching course as a mature student that might work out easier for me? Or am I completely wrong?
