Hi everyone as the heading says looking into buying this car ( Honda accord diesel ) , anyone any experience with them?

Currently driving a Mondeo diesel money pit and have managed to get a loan of 3K, need a solid reliable diesel to last as long as possible. I do alot of motorway miles ,Also have 3 kids and the thoughts of getting a people carrier is sole destroying so the missus is getting one.😊, but I will more than likely have them at some stage so 4 doors is a must.

    Would you recommend anything else?

    Any advice much appreciated.

I wouldn't even bother looking at cars in that price range from dealers as the warranty is going to be very minimal.

    €3K, reliable, diesel...

    Cheap - Diesel - Reliable

You can only pick two of the three.

Also no offence but if you needed a €3k loan to buy it, will you need another loan to tax it? A years tax on that Honda is €1000 which is an utter waste of money if you want to keep your motoring costs low.

Even a 2.0 petrol Accord would make a lot more sense than that car.

150000 miles...how many more do you think it will do without a big bill? (and that's assuming it hasn't been clocked.

I'd look at something like this instead, that generation Civic is nearly as big in the inside as the 7th gen Accord. The 1.8 engine can easily return 40mpg especially on the motorway and is old school Honda reliability. I'd bet any extra you spend on petrol could be wiped out by a costly repair on a leggy high mileage diesel car:
