Volvo XC90 resaleability

I'm looking at an old model Volvo XC90 and was wondering what they're like to sell on - the ones that I've seen with dealers seem to sit on the forecourt for a long time. I'm really talking about ones that are between four and ten years old.

Has anyone here had one and sold it on without too much hassle? Is the €1200 annual motor tax a big issue for buyers?

Not too easy...very high road tax, combined with a poor enough reputation for big bills means these are not sought after. Buy to run into the ground I'd say.

7 seats in a big solid feeling car always has a certain following amoung parents with smaller kids. But like all 4x4s they can be pricey to run. Tires, fuel consumption, suspensions etc.

Still you get what you pay for. They are 60-70 grand new and still sought after so long as you can afford to run them.
