Both Men and Woman lost in their respective Quarter Finals.

Both can not go to the World League Final

Ireland woman if they win today will be in the World Cup next year in England.

Ireland men have two games left and if they win both they will also make it to the World Cup in India next year.

    Quarter Finals men
    Australia 4 V 0 Egypt
    Belgium 2 V 0 New Zealand
    Spain 2 V 1 Ireland
    Germany 4 V 1 France

    Semi Finals
    Australia V Belgium
    Spain V Germany

    Losing Semi Final
    Egypt V New Zealand
    Ireland V France

    9th place play off
    Japan V South Africa

    Quarter Final Women
    England 4 V 0 India
    USA 1 V 0 Japan
    Germany 1 V 0 South Africa
    Argentina 2 V 1 Ireland

    Semi Final
    England V USA
    Germany V Argentina

    Losing Semi Final
    India V Japan
    South Africa V Ireland

    9th place play off
    Poland 1 V 2 Chile

Ireland woman were beat and will now have a play off for 7th place and will have to wait until next months Euros for a chance again to get to the World Cup.

Ireland men beat France in a shoot out and will play New Zealand in a 5th place play off winners going to the World Cup

What chance the Ireland women get to the World Cup? 50/50?

Not sure how the qualification will work, Ireland men finished 5th and will be at the World Cup.

    Womans Euros are
    Belgium
    Czech Republic
    England
    Germany
    Ireland
    Netherlands
    Scotland
    Spain

How it works is that the winners have a qualification berth for the world cup, so i am guess if either Netherlands, Germany or England win then it will be the next highest ranked team.

Ireland will play England and Germany again and will be looking for pay back. Also Scotland is in that group.

Top 2 in each group will go to the semi finals bottom 2 in both groups will play each other in another group and the bottom 2 of that group will be relegated to the lower European comps.
