    Another jkw thread.. sorry.

Currently using glyphosate to manage jkw on my parents property.

I have 98% of it eradicated, and hopefully it'll all be gone in 2 to 4 yrs.

My query is, could jkw kill other plants. They have palm trees and random trees have died.
Could it be as a result of jkw

Edit. Mods.. can you move this into the other knotweed thread please.

It could be drift from the glyphosate.

I'd suspect the herbicide (k)not the weed. Glyphosate is nasty stuff - despite the monsanto propaganda.

either way, ther palm tress are coming out.. . Lots of them are dead, and JKW is to much of a risk.
    So the plan is ...
To clear a path to access the JKW, and treat it with either Glyphosate or Sodium Chlorate for the next 2 to 3 yrs.

then replant the palms.. however the use of Sodium Chorate might be a problem.
