Abus U lock issue

    I've mounted an Abus Granit X-Plus https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00H3T773O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on the frame of a Cube SL Road Pro.

    It's a sturdy lock and mount but it rattles where the shackle slots in to the crossbar of the lock.

    There doesn't seem to be a fix for this.

    Is this normal? Has anyone had the same problem?

    I can only find glowing reviews online and no mention of this issue.

    The kryptonite range are more notorious for rattly and annoying mounts.

    The Kryptonite Series 2 can be made less rattly by using an elastic loop (elastic band, hair tie, something like that) to brace the end of the shackle to the mount. Might work for your lock.

    It's where the ends of the shackle (pins) lock in to the crossbar so there's no way to brace it.
