Tumble dryer drying time comparison

    Hi All
I am looking to replace an old tumble dryer.
I have searched online for sites which compare tumble dryers. No where appears to give solid information about which dryers have the shortest drying time
My perception is that BOSCH appears to be a good brand, and that condenser dryers appear to be the least hassle.
My main concern is drying time though and am willing to invest in a dryer that dries the clothes as quickly as possible. Any recommendations or pointers here would be very much appreciated

    Kind regards
    Jack

I was in a store recently looking at condensing dryers and the information labels showed typical drying times for similar loads on each model. Most were up around the 3-4 hour mark. I was looking at heat pump models for efficiency but these may take longer. From the reviews the bigger the load, the longer it takes to dry but you're right, there's no straight comparison site for those figures you're after. I would be more concerned about needing to iron afterwards due to creases and clothes coming out damp and having to put them back in for an extra 10 minutes. When it's done, I want to just take them out and wear/shelve them.
Tip: get a good warranty or at least factor it in while looking at drying times.

if you need a dryer that can dry fast and cheaper you need a gas dryer, Whirlpool is one that comes to mind

I understand that the issue with the Bosch models is that it only turns in one direction. This results in the clothes tangling.

This is worth a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goXmunM5em8&t=421s

I bought one of these not long ago, though not for my own use. But no complaints.

There was a recall on this model (before I got this one). https://www.theguardian.com/money/2017/may/30/beko-issues-tumble-dryers-safety-alert-concerns-fire-risk-recall-blaze#img-1 .

Which? have apparently looked into your specific question so it might be worth buying and reading their report. http://www.which.co.uk/news/2017/06/tumble-dryers-which-is-fastest/
