    It's the same thing as a Peugeot Bipper. I don't think they're bad. They're a bit small

Well I'm not using it for heavy loads will be very light loads just dogs and a couple of drums from time to time ... just very hesitant about reliability due to it been fiat would prefer the bipper as Peugeot would be more reliable but can't find any around where I live and don't want to travel .. but people have said that the 1.3 multijet engine is supposed to be pretty reliable I don't know alot about vans this is why trying to figure out about it

According to some recent reports Fiat's are more reliable than BMW's and Mercedes these days.

Not sure really don't know alot about cars/vans but I always seen loads 06 and above flying about so like fiat in diesel can't be that bad if there still about flying around in 2017 ... if you ask me anything most if it is down to looking after the car/van if you look after something it will look after you people say

Fiat have always been good at making diesel engines. Fiat invented the Common rail injection system. Thats right not BMW or Mercedes or Lexus but Fiat.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I mean like my sister drives a 04 punto and it's flying only thing it needs as of know is a engine mount other than that there's not 1 thing wrong with it they must be some bit good... ain't the 1.2 Astra supposed to have the fiat engine also ? I seen lots of Astras reaching past 200-300 km and still going

Not exactly. Common rail injection had been around for decades, and common rail as we know it was out in Japan on trucks a few years before Alfa Romeo put it on the first production car.
That's not to say they didn't do a lot of important work on it.

OP, to try give you a more specific answer, it'll all be down to how well the things has been driven and looked after. Do the same due diligences as if you're buying a car.

That 1.3 engine is no ball of fire but is reliable if looked after and not abused. The only thing that was problematic was stretched timing chains but I think that was earlier versions of that engine and ought to be sorted by the time the later Fiorino came out. Of anything to watch out for with the Fiorino, it is that. Apart from the obvious rattle, drive it slowly in top gear from 1000rpm and put the foot down. If the engine shudders wildly (like a misfire) and the shudder clears as the RPM increases, that can indicate the chain is starting to stretch.

The chain was on done on it it's from a dealers they done the chain them selfs not 1 rattle coming from chain only problem I found with it is when the turbo reaches between 1500 2500 the turbo gives a little whistle ... I have been told it's the turbo boosting up I don't think the dealer would screw me over would he if he's giving 3 months warranty especially or am I wrong ?

Your description sounds about right. Getting decent power from a small engine usually comes at a cost, and in the case of that engine, it's at the expense of lag and low-down drivability. Once in the move, they perform ok. But if you are going to be lugging heavy loads on tight roads where there a lot of stop start or accelerating from slow speed then this may not be the engine for you.

A slight whistle from a turbo is normal.

If the chain was already done, can I ask what age the van is and what mileage is on it. Apart from the chain, does it have any service history ?

I won't be carrying any heavy loads anyway very very light loads .. it has pretty decent power nice pull through all gears for such little engine... and there is no service history as far as I know.... and it's 2009 with 118 thousand miles on it but sounds very healthy drives great also only 2 owners from new one only was a lady using it for delivering flowers for her shop and don't know about other owner the dealer replaced the timimg chain only last week on it also

Just to be safe, it's best to get a mechanic or someone competent to run the rule over the van before you part with any cash. We can offer no end of advice here but there's no substitute for someone looking at it and advising based on that. :)
