City Centre to Dublin Airport

    Jumped on 757 bus at Camden St terminus at 4:55pm. 24 mins later we've finally turned round the corner leaving Merrion Square. About 7 green lights to move about 200m over the space of 14 mins or so. Idiots sitting in yellow boxes blocking the bus moving.

    What a time to be alive!

    That's a problem facing anyone travelling through the city centre, not just the airport.

    Yes, but it's extra embarrassing when our European counterparts have to grind out this embarrassing rubbish while I get a cozy 15-20 minute rail trip to their airports.

    Height of rush hour in a city with little to no bus priority or meaningful traffic enforcement of the few bus lanes that are useful. To be expected, unfortunately and will only get worse.

    Took 33 minutes alone for my bus to get from Aston Quay to Parkgate Street this evening, standing room only too and not a lot of it. I've given up getting angry about it because nothing will ever change.

    Apparently yesterday evening was particularly atrocious for this, anyone got any idea why yesterday was so bad? There was no big gig on in the 3 arena.

    Wouldn't think so, apparently not a huge crowd at the gig, gates didn't open till 7 and this issue was between 5-6.
