    Hi All
I have my own ashwood and need a few small planks. I'd like to use my own wood.

    Local sawmill will cut planks.

Do I season the log or cut planks and then season before treating with paint

    Thanks

Get it planked first. If it's left in the log the ends will dry first and the centre will always be full of moisture.
