    We have this tree in our garden and I'd love to know what it is.

    It looks like it seriously needs some pruning/training but I don't want to tackle that until I know what it is.

    All info very welcome as I am a complete gardening novice!

    I'm thinking yellow buddlia, never seen one in person so not 100% sure.

    cytisus battandieri Moroccan broom.Pineapple broom. Will grow to about 6m with the same spread. Can be pruned. Not fully frost hardy

    No idea how to prune it though. Must look for a good book on the subject.
