    Hi All

    So, who wears the Brown Scapular of Our Lady?

    I find that it is a strength and comfort to me. I have worn it through the toughest period of my life, where I well could have ended up in a mental institution. But through God's grace and the maternal intercession of Mary I stand today a stronger man.

    PS. The promise given by our Lady to those who wear the Scapular:

    "Whosoever dies clothed in this Habit shall not suffer the fires of Hell."

    Given the catholic view that tradition is of equal importance to biblical teaching, fair enough, but when its in marked contradiction to the bible, I'll follow biblical teaching any day..

    I believe differing traditions have various ways to actualise the focus of their devotion, for instance medals or small crosses etc, which acts as an aid to them. Myself I'd have a rosary which is handy for prayer on the commute.

    I used to but i kept tearing and losing them, so i stopped.
    I don't like wearing rings, watches, scapulars, necklaces or medals.
