    Hi Folks,

A family member is going to be a sole trader in a new business, I was just wondering is there any downloadable tax sheets in excel that calculate your tax for you? Now I know they aren't 100% correct but I'd like to see how this works and get familiar with tax calculations before I go to a private accountant, I want to see how the tax is calculated for the revenue.

I'm sure it depends. What area of Business will your relative be dealing in? Certain items may be calculated at various rates of tax, i.e. 13.5% and 23%. They could separate out items bought for resale, expense such as diesel and purchases/general expense such as electricity, phone, stationary etc. for the Business.
