Neighbor has asked me to take a Meganne that has been sitting outside her house since it failed its nct 2 months ago
according to her she has its fail sheet and all that was listed was a problem
with the drivers window and a rear window.
If this is a electric motor and I got one from scrappers is it a big job labour wise to fit.
My friendly mechanic who charges me regular rates said
" a couple of hours " ?.... at what point does it become uneconomic to fix
would an hour on youtube save me ( a novice ) any money
is it one of those things you spend an hour disassembling
    2 mins pushing connectors together
and an hour re assembling door panel.?

Not a big job, see this video

Of course you kinda need to be certain it's the motor that is the problem.
Is there any noise when you try to wind it down?

I would check the temic module first. They are a common fail for the Megane II. Try swapping it with another one and see if it works first before changing the motor. I've taken the door cards of my Megane so many times I have it down to minutes.

The regulators themselves were also ****e in the Megane 2. In fact the motor is probably the least likely culprit.

Does it have the mandatory dent on the passenger side rear wheel arch, just behind the door?

It definitely has no hub caps.

Do all Megane II have alloys?

Thanks Lads turned out it was a waste of time. Wouldn't use it as a hen house
body work was a series of dents ,looked like it had been driven through Bagdad on a bad night.
applicate the help and advice , gave her the number of a guy who takes wrecks away hopefully she gets close to the 100 she was looking for . pity as she is stuck for a few bob right now

Most of the early ones had them weird 6 spoke ones but some later models had hub caps.
