Lowering springs fitting cost?

Hey there, so I've recently come accross a set of 40mm eibach lowering springs to fit my bmw f30 mid 2012 model. The shop I was originally going to buy them in said they'd be 450 for springs fitting and alignment (red power motorsport long mile road) but I've found a set for 100 on donedeal and for just fitting they want 300 euro which seems like a lot ?

Can anyone give me any tips or advice on who to see or where to go if I was to go the cheaper route and buy the springs for a 100 off donedeal.

    Thanks

First of all do you really want to be buying second hand springs for your car?

If yes then get any competent mechanic to fit them. It's not a particularly complicated job and shouldn't take more than 2-3hrs. ,

Most Eibach springs have a million mile warranty on them - it's worth buying them new for this alone tbh.

I paid 350 for Eibach Pro Kit and fitting was €50 at a well known supplier in Meath.

Sorry I should have made it a bit clearer the set for 100quid is unopened in the box eibachs.

Depends where you bring them, but most reputable garages will most likely look to charge you 4 hours labour for spring fitting. Whether this works out cheap or not depends on their hourly rate.

The garage you dealt with initially were going to fit them at a seemingly knockdown price compared to the overall cost as they were going to make the money on the mark up on selling you the springs themselves. The reason they quote you quite a bit more for fitting only is that they obviously want you to use their business for everything and want to make as much from the deal as they would have with the supply and fit deal. €300 for fitting is probably €75 per hour, which isn't terrible it's a standard enough kind of price, but you could probably find better if you want fitting only. The thing you need to consider is that they did offer alignment as well in their price, which you will need to get done anyway after fitting and a smaller indy probably won't be able to offer this to you. This will probably run you about €50 itself, so it's worth considering.

Ok perfect really appreciate the response.

They said it was 300 including alignment, so were I to take the 100 euro ones I may only be saving 50 in the long run for the hassle so I may just go with them.

    Cheers

Alignment is usually €40-50 so unless you can find someone to fit them for less than €250 then you'd be better off buying them new.
