MacBook Pro 2016 Revisited - Worth It?

Any owners of the MacBook Pro 13" 2016 (non-Touch Bar) model care to give their opinions on how it's been now that it's over 6 months old and probably been well used by now.

My main interest would be related to battery life and how that's been, after the initial controversy.

I'm considering a refurb 2016 model, upgrading from the 2015 MBP but battery life and performance are two things that have me cautious.

What's life been like using it? Is the battery life anywhere close to 10 hours? Any major problems with it? I'm a big fan of USB-C so the ports won't be an issue for me.

the initial controversy revealed there was an issue with the test setup they were using not the laptop itself. I don't have one so can't comment other than I believe it is as expected.

It was more then that, as most users were reporting really bad battery life using it for normal day to day stuff. It's really difficult to find a common trend as some say they get close to 10 and others just 5 hours.

Seems to be very much based on specific users setups and probably how they've configured their own settings.

I went ahead and ordered one anyway, I'll update the thread for anybody else who might come across it.

Id say I get 6-7 hours on day to day basic usage.

Don't bother with chrome, it will murder battery life and of course anything not "basic day to day"

I'm a safari user luckily for me. So should help with battery life. I went the refurb route, got it from the UK Apple Store as it was over €100 cheaper. Only worry was the battery so hopefully it stands up well.

Mine was a refurb 3 months ago, i think they add a new battery when its refurbished.
