Odd situtation regarding return

    Hi all,

Have an odd situation and wondering what to do in this case.

I purchased an item via Adverts.ie from a seller and had it shipped to me. I paid through Paypal. Should be noted that the seller was great at communicating throughout.

I tried the item for the first time and it did not work at all, power light flashed on and then went dead. Complained to seller and said if it was costly to fix, I'd be sending it back. The seller at this point refunded €150 of the cost.

I go to get the item looked at by a technician, turns out there were faulty electronics and a hack repair job done on it so repairs would run to about €400. I contact the seller, mention all this and that I'll be opening a paypal claim for the item. Claim was opened and seller refunded the following day, no issues at all.

Now here's where the issue is, I said I would send the item back to the seller but they have not provided an address at all, they have not responded to any messages requesting the return info despite the fact I can see they have read the messages. We're at about 5 messages ignored now so wondering what my options are with the item itself?

Anyone have any idea? Can't find a whole lot online about it. The item is quite large so just want rid of it to be honest.

If the seller does not want it back, and you have been refunded, just scrap it. Its free to do so.

Depending what it's You could also give it for free in Adverts for parts.

Thanks for the replies. If I do any of the above though, I'm just wondering what would happen should they come looking for it back in a few weeks time? I guess to add context, I paid €750 for this item which has been refunded so it's not something insignificant.
