British Airways Baggage Loss

Hi. I am travelling to Dubai shortly with British Airways. We have a stop over in Heathrow and have heard that they are not great when it comes to delivering baggage to the final destination. Anyone have any recent experience of flying with them (with a stopover) good or bad?? ☺

I'm not aware of their reputation being any worse than any other airline
