Anyone living in or around The Paddocks in Kildangan?

Opinions on the estate? Proximity to Train Line? Kildangan in general? The National School? GAA? Community?

    Any helpful input appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. The house we were looking at didn't happen so we are not looking in the area any more.

Kildangan is not a bad spot, about 15 minutes from the M7, train station etc. There is a twice daily bus service from Athy to Newbridge passing through Kildangan.
The Paddocks is well settled with a lot of young families and some older residents, houses seem to be of a high standard.
The primary school is at capacity at the moment so it would be best to have a chat with the principal if you have primary school kids, I understand there is an additional teacher coming next year which should relive the pressure.
Scouts and GAA are the main activities for kids, for adults there is a bowling club, an art group and again GAA.
There is one village pub (Crosskeys) however Kildare town is about €15 by Taxi, there are a few very good pubs and restaurants in Kildare town (Hartes, Cunninghams, Silken Thomas, Kildare House Hotel) as well as Kildare Village if you are into shopping. Kildare Village is a great employer for teenagers and is currently looking to expand.

Wikipedia has a bit of info on the history of the village, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kildangan
Let me know if you want any specific information and I'll try to help.
