Punto Mk1 55 SX (1108cc - 5 door ) 1997 60k injection warning light coming on and spluttering of engine

Problem started with infrequent injector warning light on but got worse and then on most of the time and engine spluttering.
Replaced the plugs and O2 sensor and problem disappeared for a few weeks.
Problem came back but not as problematic at first but now as bad as ever. Camshaft sensor replace a few months before this.
Took it to local garage was unable to get monitoring equip to pick up EMU and did not know what prob is.
Got cables to read EMU and software and also failed to read EMU
    Any suggestion?

Got two coils from a dismantler and tried one of them without fitting and just switched over the cable and plug leads. Started car and it ran smooth used it for a few days like this and just to confirm it was a faulty intermittent coil I switched over to the old one and it made no difference car ran smooth and continues to. Can this be explained logically for a car that has tormented me with months having me pulling out my hair?
